JFD Art - 10 - Reports

Earlier you performed a Query looking for Oil Paintings Under £1000.  The quality of printout would not be acceptable to send out to a customer.  Access has Reports which allow you to take information from tables and queries and improve the quality of the presentation.

Step 1 - Report Wizard

• Start the Report Wizard
• Choose the Oil Paintings under £1000 Query
• Select all fields using the>> icon

STEP 2 - SELECT PAPER LAYOUT AND PRINTING STYLE

• Keep clicking on NEXT until you reach this screen
• Choose Landscape (most reports need this layout)
• Click Next
• Choose a style
• Click NEXT and FINISH

STEP 3 - TIDY UP THE REPORT

The report needs a better title (not Artist and the columns are too widely spaced)  We can change this in design view

STEP 4 - Change the title

• Click on VIEW, DESIGN VIEW
• Click on Artist - replace with "Oil Paintings under £1000"

STEP 5 - ADDING  JFD ART TO THE REPORT

• ON the Toolbox choose the label tool Aa
• Drag a text box onto the top right of the report
• Change the font to size 16

Produce a report for one of your other queries - add JFD ART to the header and make sure that the title is appropriate!
